Transactions
A Transaction is a single entry in an account’s Ledger: a date, an amount, and a description. Most transactions also carry a Reported Balance — the balance the bank’s own statement claims at that point — because most statements print one.
That’s it. A transaction doesn’t start out with a category, a tag, or a note attached — those are things you (or a rule) add afterward, once the transaction exists. Finzu keeps the raw facts of the transaction — what the bank actually said happened — separate from the organizing you layer on top, so re-categorizing something never risks changing what actually happened.
Next: where transactions come from — statements and importing.
