Goals
A Goal is a target you’re saving toward — an emergency fund, a down payment, a vacation — tracked as contributions moving it closer to a target amount, on whatever schedule you actually save on.
That’s a different question from a Budget’s. A budget asks “how much am I allowed to spend on Groceries this month?” A goal asks “how close am I to having $10,000 saved?” — progress toward a target, not a monthly allowance being drawn down. You can budget carefully every month and still have no goals, or fund a goal aggressively in a month where your budgets barely matter; they don’t compete for the same money in finzu’s model, because they’re answering different questions.
