Your first account
Getting started with finzu follows the same shape every time, whether it’s your first account or your fifth:
- Add an account — one bank account or card. This is the container its Ledger will live in.
- Import a statement — bring in a PDF, CSV, or Excel file from your bank. Finzu turns it into ordered Transactions in that account’s Ledger.
- Review — finzu checks that the balances add up and flags anything that doesn’t, so you look at the handful of rows that need eyes instead of the whole statement.
- Organize — categorize and tag transactions so the picture of where your money goes starts to take shape.
Repeat the import step each time a new statement arrives, and repeat the whole flow for every account you want in one trustworthy place.
Why this order
Review comes before organize on purpose. A category is only meaningful if the transaction underneath it is real and correctly placed — so finzu confirms the Ledger is trustworthy first, then lets you make sense of it.
